AP Economics

About AP Economics

AP Economics consists of two separate courses: AP Microeconomics and AP Macroeconomics.

AP Microeconomics

Focuses on the behavior of individuals, businesses, and markets. Students learn how decisions are made, how prices are set, and how markets function under different conditions. Key topics include supply & demand, elasticity, market structures, consumer choice, labor markets, and government policy.

AP Macroeconomics

Deals with the economy as a whole. Students study national income, unemployment, inflation, economic growth, monetary and fiscal policy, financial markets, international trade, and exchange rates. The course helps students understand how governments and central banks influence the economic landscape.

Together, AP Micro + Macro give students a strong foundation in economic thinking, critical reasoning, and real-world decision-making — skills extremely valuable for business, finance, STEM, and social sciences.

Can a student take AP Micro and AP Macro together?

Yes. Many students take both in the same year because the concepts are complementary. CLBS offers combined prep or separate modules.

Is AP Economics difficult for someone without prior economics background?

Not at all. AP Econ starts from foundational concepts. With guided teaching, practice questions, and graph drills, students can easily build confidence.

How important are graphs in AP Econ?

Very. Much of the MCQs and all FRQs require accurate graphing. CLBS includes extensive graph practice, templates, and timed drills.

What score do most CLBS students achieve?

Our students consistently secure 4s and 5s, thanks to expert faculty and structured exam prep.

How many hours per week should a student ideally study?

2–3 hours per week outside class is sufficient — including practice MCQs, reviewing notes, and completing FRQs.

When is the best time to start AP Micro/Macro prep?

Most students begin between October–January, giving them enough time for full coverage + revision + mocks before the May exam.

Is the CLBS program online, offline, or hybrid?

CLBS classes are conducted entirely online, allowing students to learn from anywhere with complete flexibility. Our live interactive sessions are designed to mirror the classroom experience — with personal attention, real-time feedback, and all resources accessible digitally through our student portal.

What makes CLBS different from other AP Economics coaching institutes?

CLBS is built on accountability and personal attention. We track every student’s mock scores and progress through a detailed Excel Tracker, ensuring consistent improvement. In the final two weeks before the AP Economics Exam, our team closely monitors completion and performance. Parents can trust that we don’t just teach — we actively mentor, guide, and ensure every student stays serious and on track until test day to score 4+

Why should I choose CLBS over self-study / YouTube / a local tutor?

YouTube gives information. CLBS gives transformation.
We train you to perform under GRE exam conditions — with templates, timed drills, and personal feedback on exactly what to fix next.
That’s the difference.
